Khalil Ibrahim : ”JEM have control over rural area in Darfur” Leader of JEM, Khalil Ibrahim claimed that his troops had control over the rural area around Nyala and El Fasher and he threatened to attack those cities. Meanwhile, press reports said fighting was continuing between the Sudanese Armed Forces and JEM in south Darfur. ( Altayar _ Many Newspapers )

Initial census results in South Kordofan show an increase in the population
State Governor of South Kordofan, Ahmed Haroun revealed that the census process had been run safely and 80% of the operation had been completed . The census officer stated that there was an increase in the number of the people in the state. ( Alsahafa)

Khartoum informs UK on JEM violations action
Mutrif Sidig, Deputy Foreign Minister discussed with the British Ambassador in Khartoum, Dame Rosalind Marsden the trilateral mechanism on Sudan, which was held in Addis last week. Mutrif had acknowledged the ambassador’s role to improve the bilateral relation between UK and Sudan. The meeting also highlighted the situation in Darfur and recent violations carried by JEM in Darfur. Mutrif, however, stated that the government pledges peaceful solutions to the conflict in Darfur. Border Demarcation Committee set to finalise it’s work on November
The Head of the Borders Demarcation, Abdallah Al-sadig stated that the Committee is set to finalise it’s process by November and will submit it’s report to the presidential office for an approval before the referendum. Michael O’Neill urges the government to pledge for Doha Talk
UK Special Envoy to Sudan, Michael O’Neill discussed with Mutrif Sidig, Deputy Foreign Minister the humanitarian and security situations in Darfur. Speaking to press, Michael said that the government of Sudan and the UN have not fully considered the problems that might develop from the current situation. He confirmed that UK would continue support the CPA implementation calling for establishment of human rights and referendum commissions. The current government will be dissolved tomorrow
Alahdath newspaper reported that a reliable source stated that the elected president , Omer Al-Bashir is set to dissolve the government tomorrow and appointed ministers managers to rule the country until a new office is formed. The newspaper reported that there was a suggestion to task Minni Minawi and Musa Mohammed Ahmed (the presidential advisers) to form the new government for this period. Meanwhile, NCP has discussed a proposal of engaging other political figures on the elected government; stating the National Consensus Force seats in the parliament would remain the same based on the Cairo agreement. NEC reveal that counting has not yet finish in Blue Nile State
The National Electoral Commission has sent a delegation to the Blue Nile State to control the situation on the ground following an SPLM statement claiming their candidate had won. SPLM Candidate for State Governor, Malik Agar urged the Commission to speed up the process and announce the result in an effort to end tensions in the State. NCP Candidate for the area, Farah Agar said that his party paid no attention to Yasser Arman’s statement on the SPLM victory and said the final decision was for NEC to announce. NEC announce 60-67% of those registered have voted
The National Electoral Commission revealed that the count process would start on Friday with the result expected to be announced by next Tuesday. An NEC press release stated that 27 candidates have already been declared winners as they were unchallenged in their respective constituencies. Deputy of the Commission, Abdallah Ahmed Abdallah said that there were some technical mistakes which had effected the election in some areas but the overall process, he claimed, was going well in Darfur and South Sudan.
